Honey, a private investigator, digs into a series of bizarre deaths connected to a suspicious church in a rural town. She openly declares that she "likes girls," but foolish men don′t take her words or her work seriously. Unbothered, Honey tenaciously pursues the case while worrying about her niece, who is with an abusive boyfriend, and enjoying ecstatic nights with a sexy cop who goes by the name MG. The film is the second installment in Ethan Coen’s trilogy, who wanted to make a film that twists the conventions of film noir, and seems quite uninterested in the question of ‘who is the culprit.’ This deliberately loose plot is instead filled to the brim by the presence of its lead actress.
