Raised in Macao and having attended college in Taiwan, Lok now lives in Hong Kong, awaiting the opportunity to direct her second fi lm. While her partner Bei Bei seeks stability, Lok is conflicted and embarks on a journey through her past. Unable to settle on stable ground, her queer life unfolds as a journey across Macao, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and her romantic relationship begins to wobble on an unsteady foundation. Through a reverse chronological timeline that moves from the present back to her college and high school days, the director vividly conveys the simple truth that all of our past choices and encounters make up our present. This fresh, young queer romance seems to be based on the autobiographical experience of the director, who built her career across Macao, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. (HONG Soin)
