Program Note
Two days before the New Year, eight Korean friends get together in a villa near Moscow. Ten years ago, they had been student activists in Seoul during the politically violent 1980′s, committed to the movement and to each other. Their solidarity, however, had been marred through an unsolved betrayal by one member leading to the murder of another. For ten years this death has haunted these friends. When a suicide occurs just as the friends are about to return to their lives, the betrayal appears solved. But time lasts when memory meets passion, death, love.
