This film depicts the events that occur during a banquet. The hosts are a married couple who have experienced many vicissitudes of life. They have endured the bitterness of life and have also exulted in its joys. The guests, who are bewildered by numerous failures, imagine they have lost everything in life. During conversations with the hosts, the guests gain an understanding of the common sufferings of life.
