This film is astonishingly fresh - like watching Elephant for the first time. The meaning of the title lands only when this cute teen movie arrives at an unexpected place. If Jacqueline Lentzou’s debut film Moon, 66 Questions carried the subtitle ‘a film about flow, movement, and love (and lack of them),’ her new work comes with one that says, ‘a film about breath, touch, and loneliness (and lack of them).’ Maintaining her characteristic directing style, with warped images, offscreen sounds, and idiosyncratic composition and editing, the film makes us wonder what is going on inside her head when she suddenly gazes at the sky. Then, at a climax no one could have imagined, everything erupts. In a daring development lasting over 20 minutes, Lentzou announces herself an auteur. This is what a ‘camera of the heart, film of the heart’ looks like. This film announces the emergence of a director with a new sensibility, following in the footsteps of Athina Rachel Tsangari and Yorgos Lanthimos, two defining figures of contemporary Greek auteur cinema.
