Eléonore Mahmoudian studied Japanese language and culture at the National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO) in France. She worked as an assistant to director Eric Baudelaire and participated in the films The Anabasis of May and Fusako Shigenobu, Masao Adachi and 27 Years Without Images (2011) and The Ugly One (2013). She also works as a translator and subtitler.

Hiroshi Matsui majored in film studies at Yokohama National University and Paris 8 University. He co-founded a film magazine and has worked as a film critic and contributor. As a producer, he collaborated with director Shō Miyake on films such as Playback (2012) and And Your Bird Can Sing (2020).
