<b>My Brother Tom </b>is the story of two teenagers. Boys at school taunt Jessica for being a toffee-nosed virgin and Tom is bullied for being a weirdo. When they meet, Jessica becomes both anxious and intrigued by Tom′s darker side. They drift together, inevitably, both loners, both damaged. She comes from a middle-class family, where nothing is really talked about. He lives with his father, the doctor, who uses his wife′s death as a psychological weapon against his son. The forest is his holy domain where he hides from misery and oppression at home. He and Jessica form a powerful bond in which no compromise is possible. This bond cannot survive, however, when one of them changes and the other does not.
