Program Note
Based on the popular comic by Masamune Shirow, Apple Seed is the story of life after a devastating war in 2131 A.D. Deunan Knute, a female soldier is taken to Olympus. Accustomed to battle and war, Deunan is overwhelmed by Olympus’s peaceful environment and its apparently happy inhabitants. But things are not as they seem: to guarantee a harmonious society, half of the population consists of a species of human clones called Bioroids. While more and more questions arise, a grand battle for the future of mankind is beginning.
