Program Note

A conservative father and a quiet son have an awkward relationship. To his father’s typical homily on hard study, the son responds inattentively. Eager to get attention, the son finds pleasure in showing his naked body on the internet. Secretly and quietly, the film shows the process of father and son who once looked at life differently getting to face each other. (CHO Young-jung)

Alexander LAU

Born to a Chinese father and a Polish mother, Alexander Lau was born and raised in the heart of Silicon Valley. He spent his childhood traveling with stints in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Taiwan. He later attended NYU Tisch for Film Production before leaving school to pursue filmmaking on his own terms. His short films include Sleep for Days(2010), The Piano Recital(2011), and Distant Light(2013).
