Program Note
How does a movie star′s blind fan appreciate them? And what does the star mean to them? Amitabh Bachchan is a Bollywood icon who must be evoked - for his vision-impaired fans - in alternative ways.
This five-minute documentary, by Indian film critic and international Bollywood consultant Meenakshi Shedde, uses smell, hearing, touch - and instinct - to demonstrate how a fan can connect with the global
superstar when the eyes fail.
