For ten years, the director met with POWS who refused to change their political beliefs. The film has a liist person narrator and is dramatic, especially as it spans over such a long tíme period. The director talks quietly and slowly about the block he felt during his meetings with the men, and about their isolaton and their conflicts. The director invites us to experience history while breaking our prejudice of such men. Tnen ideology might be different from ours but they lived a life with strong beliefs, being victims of the division of Korea.
