Program Note
Verox boy Su-in refuses to work at the resident′s registration office. A girl from the village office- who once photocopied a letter of complaint with a picture of herself brutally beaten attached -
shows interest in him. Her approach reminds him of some painful memories that he wishes to forget. The living fingerprint is covered by black ink, and the Xerox machine never stops making
copies. These images are a metaphor for the social indexes marking him as an adult. The film depicts growing pains with mysterious touches. (Hong Hyosook)
