For an accidental homicide, Seong-Geun is sentenced to prison until the year 2000. Kyung-Young, a coarse and effeminate petty thief, dreams of bank robbery. One dawn, mafia-inmates hijack a police van full of prisoners being transferred to another jail, including Seong-Geun and Kyung-Young. Neither turning themselves in nor following the others, the two travel searching for freedom, hope and a different kind of reality. Chronicling their many mishaps and adventures, this film humorously deals with stigmatized alienation in the world of divided Korea.
