Program Note
Mans and Roro best friends in their 20s. Mans is a tall Swede with a shaved head, Roro is the son of Arab immigrants. Roro plans to introduce his Swedish girlfriend to his large family, but he′s afraid of their reaction. Mans and Roro work for the parks department raking leaves, cleaning the duck pond, and to picking up after peoples′ pets. Understandably, they do not like their jobs much, but they still think life is good and that they′re pretty cool. But one day Mans all of a sudden can′t get an erection. His girlfriend even leaves him and he goes through a humiliating scene in a sex shop. Roro is also in a mess - just when he′s made up his mind to introduce his girlfriend to his family, they break the news that they′ve found him a Lebanese bride... "Jalla! Jalla!" means "Hurry up!" in Arabic.
