With a new job and apartment, Sara begins a happy life in Delhi with her beloved Abhi. Apart from her heavily prejudiced landlord who’s obsessed with electric bills, and her mother constantly calling to demand tuition money for her younger brother, Sara’s life is generally peaceful. That is, until Abhi spends the money meant for Sara’s family on his exhibition and seminar. In this unwelcoming city hostile to outsiders and daughters, Sara and Abhi, who are not understood even by their parents, are lucky to have easygoing Simon, warm and spirited Gopika, and music. Simon broke up with his lover for lack of even one cozy room for them to stay; Sara and Abhi face the threat of spending cold, rainy winter nights on the streets; and Gopika has lost her spiritual home.
