Program Note
Unemployed 35-year-old Lars Hansen is sent on a retraining scheme, but his file gets mixed up with that of El Hassan, a Pakistani immigrant. While trying to clarify his identity, Lars discovers that Ida - a woman he once loved - is to teach the Danish As A Second Language course.

Born 1971. Started working mid 1990’s with film, both practically and theoretically. Practical as an editors-assistant and runner. Theoretical by several filmcourses. Admitted into The National Danish Filmschool as a director-student in 1997. Graduated from The National Danish Filmschool 2001 as director with the celebrated graduation film Feeding Desire/ Når lysterne tændes(2001). Feeding Desire wins “Best short fiction film” at Odense International Film Festival 2001.
