Norica, a waitress, and Mitu, a pig herder, meet up and play around on a summer′s day on the outskirts of Bucharest. Mitu doesn′t remember anything from the day before, but their affair is more than just a one-night-stand. It could easily lead to marriage, if not for two threatening prospects: Norica′s intention marry Gili, her 50-year old boss and lover, and the news that Mitu has been drafted to the army for two years. Mitu seems resigned to serving time in the military but his passion for Norica gets him into more and more serious trouble when he goes AWOL to take Norica to a rock concert, or when he hijacks a taxi to pulverize Gili′s snack bar. Driven by his obsession with Norica, Mitu finally does the unforgivable. The wheels of society grind into motion and hunt down the couple with clockwork efficiency.
