Fan lives with his aged father who has Alzheimer′s Disease. The disease makes the already strained relationship between father and son even more tense. When Fan′s father begins collecting dirty old junk from the streets and bringing it home, Fan finds himself at his wit′s end. Gradually, however, Fan senses that the battered toys and dusty vinyl records cluttering up his flat are not simply garbage. They are pieces of the past-his own past right back to his bittersweet childhood when his father wasn′t just a broken old man, but a single father trying his best to bring up his two children. As his father fades, Fan begins to realize that his father′s actions are not completely senseless, but are in fact the silent voice of the old man reaching out to him.
