Program Note
Abel lives with his mother in a small town on the outskirts of Barcelona. His life revolves around the clothing shop his family owns, his mother′s house, his girlfriend′s bed, the corner newsstand, and the same neighborhood bars and cafes. It′s always the same routine. One day, however, something inexplicably cracks apart under his pleasant, calm exterior, and does so repeatedly. He is powerless to stop it. On Thursday afternoon, Abel will commit another murder...

Jaime Rosales was born in Barcelona, Spain. He won a grant to attend Cuba’s International Film and Television School (the EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, and later enrolled in Sydney’s Australian Film Television and Radio School. He is the founder of Fresdeval Films. His filmography includes Episodio (1998), The Fish Bowl (1999), and The Hours of the Day (2003).
