Kresten just got married to the girl of his dreams. A pleasant, carefree life and hopes of becoming a successful businessman in Amsterdam are within his reach. But one day, in the middle of his honeymoon, his dreams become jeopardized when he suddenly receives a distressful phone call from home in the Island of Lolland. He learns that his father died, with only his imbecile brother left in Lolland. This enrages his new wife since he never told her he had a family. Kresten regretfully tells his wife that he won′t be long and will return as soon as he settles things back home. But things don′t turn out as he expected when Kresten comes face to face with a past he tried to bury in his memory.
