Program Note
Toti, an irresponsible, shady, thirty-year-old loud mouth, is coping with a mid-life crisis 15 years too early. He tries to make a financial killing by importing the Bulgarian cigarettes into Iceland, for which he is criticized. Business is slow until it′s discovered that the cigarette actually contains a stimulant; the news spreads like wildfire. He is a complete football and video game fanatic. But there are clouds on the horizon. His team is about to be relegated to the second division, and his young girlfriend has no interest in football. His ex-wife is having a relationship with an American, something Toti finds shocking. In addition, his role as a weekend dad to his young daughter is proving to be difficult. Toti is at odds with everyone, with the exception of his former father-in-law, who always has had faith in him no matter what. Even when Toti gets in trouble with the law, it′s his former father-in-law who is there to help him.
