Program Note
The life of Kim Jung Myung, who spent 40 years photographing wildflowers, unfolds in stop-motion animation. His 1.5 million still photographs are transformed into time-lapse video, seamlessly woven together with stop-motion characters. Layered with Kim’s own voiceover, the film constructs a profoundly beautiful and singular world that offers quiet, unassuming happiness. (KANG Sowon)

Yoo Lee obtained her MFA at the University of Southern California (USC) in Animation and Digital Design. While at USC, she wrote and directed five stop motion animated shorts, including A Poem by Alba (2021), 7LBS 8OZ (2022), and Welcome to 8th Street (2023) and more.
