Program Note
Margita is a skillful thief. Everything not nailed down becomes hers, from the wallets to jeeps. When the police hear about her, the streets of Riga become too risky for her trade, and Margita flees the country. But she doesn′t go far. She heads north and crosses the border, ending up in a little town called Vineeri. Time seems to stand still in this town - the only factory is shut down and even the residents live in their memories. Thanks to her uncontrollable greed, Margita unexpectedly becomes the custodian of a little boy and three men. While Margita considers the first two men strange weaklings, the third is a light-haired "hot Estonian policeman" Margita seduces him to cover her tracks. As time goes by, the men realize that they live with a thief. Before she flees again, this time with a surprising companion.
