NISHIO Daisuke

Nishio Daisuke was born in Hiroshima, Japan, in 1959. After joining Toei Animation in 1981, he made his debut with the TV animation Dr. Slump. From 1986, he directed the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series, establishing himself as a director specializing in martial arts scenes and the action genre. His major works include the Kindaichi Case Files, One Piece, and Pretty Cure. He has directed a wide range of animated works, not only TV series but also theatrical films.
