A high-school girl is raped by three high-school boys and killed herself. Her mother then seeks revenge for the murder of her daughter. This film has been known as a female version of <The Man from Nowhere>, Korea′s most successful film in 2010. The two female characters′ characterizations and the two actresses′ actings are impressive. That is why the acting of Yoo Oh-seong, one of Korea′s famous character actors seems less visible. Indeed, the mother and the daughter overwhelm all the other male characters. Nam Bo-ra, now a "rising star," is very much visible despite her relatively smaller role. Yoo Sun provides the audience with her enthusiasm, just as she has been waiting for this role for a long time. The power of storytelling also deserves attention. The film′s dramatic impetus and the control of strength in the plotline don′t seem to be those of a new director. Another virtue of this film is that in addition to being enjoyable as a commercial movie, it poses ethical questions to today′s society. Is private revenge a right thing to do?
