Program Note
Based on the novella by Lee Hyo-suk, this is the first in the series of Korea Short Stories, commissioned by animation studio Meditation by Pencils. Imaginative images combine with flourishes of unique Korean culture to realize Mr. Hur walking through a vast buckwheat farm full of flowers under a full moon, evoking a warm emotion that only cell animation can stir.
