An old man in his 70s finds a letter after his wife left him. Shocked by what was written inside, the man gets hospitalized. The day after his hospitalization his son, a famous pianist, and a teenage boy visit him. They play piano in Berlin, and the boy lives in London with his mother. Their encounter reminds them of their unfortunate past. The old man and his son both live alone because their wives left them. It seems like an unfortunate fate passed down from one generation to the next generation but the encounter of the three men helps them find ways to deal with their problem. What brings them together is the power of music. The old man was once a talented musician and is proud of his famous pianist son. The last scene is that of the old man watching TV on his deathbed. His son on the TV screen is playing piano. The son recalls his father while the father stares at his son. The crossing of gazes transmits the memory and emotion they have shared through the screen as if massive telepathy is sent to the audience. (LEE Sang-yong)
