B for Busy is a comedy set in Shanghai about three middle-aged divorcees and a divorce, on a journey to find love. Mr. B, an art teacher is interested in Ms. Li, who works in advertising, but Li, who lives with her mother and a young daughter, tries to distance herself from him for various reasons. Mr. B plans an art show and tries to get close to Ms. Li, but things become complicated with the appearance of his ex-wife, Beibei, and a woman named Gloria who seems interested in him. This film is a microcosmic view of life in the global city of Shanghai; at the same time it delightfully overturns traditional gender roles through female characters who directly express their wants and needs and a middle-aged male character who loves to cook. Xu Zheng, an actor and director known for his performance in Dying to Survive (2018), contributed to this film as the lead character and producer. (HONG Soin)
