During his night shift, an elderly taxi driver vanishes into the past in his own head between rides. It’s there he sees a woman, whose smile, gestures and language fill his memories and simultaneously comfort and sadden him. Like an old but always heartbreaking love song, the brightness of a past love still lights up the night.

Born and raised in Singapore, he spent most of his life either staring into a lens or guiding it. Inspired to hold the camera by his father, Eric Khoo, he began his filmmaking endeavors with simple home videos and school projects. Ultimately, his burgeoning passion for film led him to create his first short narrative work, <Late Shift>.
