Program Note

Middle-aged lesbian couple Geumja and Yeo-ok receive a call in the middle of the night about the death of Yeo-ok's ex-husband. They travel a long way to their hometown for the first time in 20 years, but they are unwelcomed guests at the funeral. During the two-day visit, their dramatic history is told with humor at times and scathing bitterness at others. (KANG Sowon)

LEE Yujin

Lee Yujin is studying film at Korea National University of Arts. She participated in the production of an independent feature The House of Us (2019) as an assistant to directing and costume design. Her directorial debut A Good Mother (2020) was invited to several film festivals including Mise-en-scene Short Film Festival and received New Filmmaker’s Award at Asiana International Short Film Festival.
