Srdan Golubovic′s first feature pits youthful aspiration and brotherly love against adult world of revenge and manipulation. Sasa Gordic is the Junior Marksmanship Champion of Yugoslavia. Sasa′s disheveled older brother Igor sells the family′s shooting gallery to Runda, who browbeats Igor out of his office. Igor is Sasa′s hero because Igor took the title of World Marksmanship Champion; however Igor′s experience in the war in Croatia and Bosnia left him scarred. He returns to be psychologically tormented by his former friend Neske, a drug dealer who retains his youthful jealousy of
Igor. Under Neske′s influence, Igor becomes a heroin addict. Sasa watches his brother′s decline, as Igor is forced to sell his medals and traffic in drugs. Days before the World Championship, Sasa′s training is interrupted due to his concern for Igor and by the bullying whims of Runda. Threatened by the same people who torment his brother, Sasa decides to take matters into his own hands.
