Born in Ardabil city in Iran in 1983, Shahin Jalali was attracted to cinema when he was young. He completed a one-year filmography course at Iranian Youth Cinema Society and directed his first short film before he began studying cinema at college. He went on to study B.A and M.A in cinematography and has participated in various projects as a director, editor, and writer.
