Program Note
This new French horror movie is about the character of the werewolf. Teddy leads a simple life in his small town in Lot-et-Garonne with his girlfriend Rebecca, his uncle and his girlfriend work in a massage institute. When he gets bitten by a werewolf, his daily life turns into a nightmare. The werewolf becomes the metaphor of a solitary adolescent trapped in his precarious environment. The originality of the film is to bring gothic fantasy into the banal universe of a small French village. Teddy is a bit like the meeting between Stephen King and Bruno Dumont. The two young filmmaker brothers, Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma, who have made a number of notable short films, have created a very original and bloody horror comedy with their first film.
