Nikitas lives in a remote forest in northern Greece. Her son visits him after a 20 year absence. As the guardian of the forest, Nikitas has confronted the environment-destroying enterprise, and now he must fight with his son, who claims the land of his birthright. Under the rich messages of environmental protection, Digger talks about ‘What to leave behind.’ The land here means life and abundance, not investment and money. This Modern Greek Western conveys the wisdom of life and death without a single gunfight. It won the CICAE ART CINEMA AWARD in the Panorama section at the 2020 Berlin International Film Festival.
