In a wasteland where nothing seems to happen, four boys were murdered in the last four years. All the victims were homeless aged between ten and twelve. The cases are obviously related to a serial killer, but the corrupted police including Bekzat just want to close the case quickly. Ariana, a smart journalist from the city, witnesses something strange and comes to the village to investigate the cases. Bekzat’s false plan to bribe an innocent perpetrator gets stuck as Ariana pursues the truth. Nevertheless, she gets frustrated by the physical violence and blackmailing that she couldn’t get over learning from books only. A Dark-Dark Man is the latest film directed by Adilkhan YERZHANOV whose documentary The Power of Asian Cinema - Kazakhstan also known as ‘History of the Kazakh Cinema - Underground of Kazakh film’ were invited to Busan in 2015. A Dark-Dark Man reveals disconnected relationships through the visual composition of space and the details of the story.
