Program Note
A documentary about the ecosystems and the ethnic minorities of North of Siberia. During the Soviet era, stories of the Eurasian minorities were almost unknown. Telling the untold stories of ethnic minorities, old religions and ecosystems behind the official Soviet ideology.
Director
Lavrenti SON
The second generation of Koryoin born in Kazakhstan in 1941 and the first Koryoin who entered Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. As a screenwriter and director, he founded Son Cinema producing documentary films about ethnic minorities in the Soviet Union. He won the grand prize at the 2006 Moscow International Television Forum for his documentary The Enemy of the People.
