Munna is a gangster who controls Mumbai, but he is a filial son in front of his parents. While lying to his parents about being a doctor, he faces the biggest crisis of his gangster life when they catch him off guard and visit his house unexpectedly and discover Munna is not a doctor. For his frustrated parents, Moon enters medical school and his troubled life as a med student begins. It has a similar motif to the Korean film, My Boss, My Hero, but it is a well-made commercial film with spectacular dance, music, and a bright atmosphere. It was a big hit in India when released, arousing a huge echo in the Indian society. Director Rajkumar Hirani, who made his debut with the film, has since seen huge success in India and Asia, producing films with commerciality and completeness, such as Three Idiots and <I>PK</I>. This film is invited to the Busan Classic section this year, and interestingly, the new film Sanju, depicting star Sanjay Dutt’s turbulent life, the rascal of Bollywood, is also screening.
