Program Note
Father was once the most affectionate person in the world, but has become very violent, disappearing and reappearing after violent bouts. Neighbors whisper that he has gone crazy. Tempest wants to escape from father’s madness and the loud cicadas singing in the backyard.

Charles WILLIAMS
Charles Williams’s first short film The Cow Thief (2006), which he made when he was a teenager, received a director’s award at TropFest Short Film Festival. His following films There Had Better Be Blood (2010) and Home (2015) were invited to numerous film festivals receiving several prizes. He is currently working on feature film projects Inside and The Buzzard.
