Program Note
Pai lives alone in Beijing. His advisor tells him to change his major, while his passionate friends make him feel less than adequate. He is so behind in rent that he is about to be evicted, and someone steals the mattress he left outside to sell. And so the day goes.

Majoring in film directing at Beijing Film Academy, Xu Jianshang received recognition for her short Lost in the City (2014.) She graduated from Asian Film Academy in 2014 and produced Ma•ama (2018), a co-production between India and China. She is currently studying film production at Busan Asian Film School.
