Program Note
Charlie, a professional shop-window decorator, accidentally gets involved in the debt-enforcement trade. Soon he has moved on to become the director of the first Slovene pornographic film, a project that he decides to shoot with a couple of his friends. His ex-schoolmate John, who runs a brothel, offers to provide his girls for the female parts. Frank, whom Charlie has always disliked, is the third member of the crew. At the auditions, Charlie meets Kalinka, a Russian girl who woks as a prostitute in Slovenia. At the same time a group of Montenegrin convicts who have unsettled accounts with John escape from a prison. After a short period of film-enthusiasm, Charlie becomes depressed and begins to doubt that they could ever produce a good, classy XXX rated film. John sends Kalinka to cheer him up, but Charlie falls in love with her. When the crew begins filming the Montenegrins arrive...

Born in 1964 in Brezice, Damjan Kozole created his first feature-length low-budget film The Fatal Telephone at 22, one of the first independent productions in the former Yugoslavia. His films have been screened at many international festivals.
