Program Note

Young Lily’s waist-length hair has made her the subject of bullying at the orphanage she lives in, and unable to bear it any longer, she hacks it off. But Lily has broken a taboo and soon finds herself surrounded by ghosts, fighting for her soul.

HAO Fang-Wei

Hao graduated from TKU in Taiwan and entered the film industry in 2001. She has since built more than 15 years of experience, working as an AD with many outstanding directors from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Myth is her first short film as writer-director and is inspired by Taiwan′s traditional customs and her own personal experience.
