Program Note
Julius is a special orphan, delivered on Christmas day he was a present from Santa, that’s how the headmaster sees it. He has a love for Christmas like no other, it’s the very special time of year. But other kids are not so generous, more jealous and they see Julius as someone who has stolen their limelight. His beliefs are shaken when they reveal that Santa is just the headmaster dressing up each year. Rocked to his core, Julius is then summoned into the world of his diorama, a frozen land of talking animals, to take on the Crampus and save Christmas. It is in this magical world that Julius is able to rediscover his belief in himself and find the courage to move forward. Despite the fact that the two bullies have found their way into this world Julius is determined to save the day. A gentle Christmas animation from Denmark replete with carols and reindeers and a good dose of Christmas cheer. (Matthew Rooke)
