Alejandro AMENÁBAR

Born in 1972, Alejandro Amenábar made his directorial debut with Tesis (1996) at the age of 23. The next film, Open Your Eyes (1997), became a box office hit in Spain and promoted his name around the world. He successfully made his debut in Hollywood with a remake, Vanilla Sky starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. He is also famous for his versatility as a writer, producer, director, editor and composer.
