A poor father who steals to provide for his son is overwhelmed by lingering guilt and regularly pleads with God for forgiveness. Though a second theft is more easily accomplished he begs forgiveness once again. The film examines the human conscience paralyzed by justified crime, rather than striking at justification of crime in the name of survival. (CHO Young-jung)
