Ruben, who has worked as a truck driver for over 10 years, encounters a woman with a baby who begs him for a ride. Begrudgingly, the driver agrees, and the man, woman, and baby begin a 1,500 kilometer-long journey from the Paraguayan city of Asuncion to Buenos Aires in Argentina. Although this is a new director’s debut film whose content and form are quite simple, its images will linger in the audience’s mind for a long time. Most of the scenes take place in the truck, and there is very little dialogue. This is thus a road movie that avoids exaggeration in aunique manner. As time goes by, the driver opens his mind little by little. The love that gradually grows between the driver who is used to being alone and the baby’s mother is also delicately played out.
