Bruno, a former teacher, makes a living by tutoring or ghostwriting others’ autobiographies. He discovers that his student Luca, a troublemaker, is actually his own son, when an old flame of his suddenly shows up after fifteen years. Bruno, without revealing his true identity, begins to live with son and this new life brings an “order as a parent” to his disordered and apathetic life. This film, a heartwarming comedy, portrays the processes in which a peculiar father and a restless son become accustomed to each other. It is quite exciting to follow the events that happen when Bruno, a tutor whose philosophy of education is different from ordinary teachers, and Luca, a troublemaker who isn’t interested in studying at all, unexpectedly meet each other as a father and a son. The lively rap music played throughout the film boosts the atmosphere of this comedy, which is heartwarming and never exaggerated. Scialla means ‘easy’ in Italian. (RHEE, Soue-won)
