Program Note
[18 Days] was the special Gala screening feature in Guest Country program, a newly established section of Cannes International Film Festival. This omnibus feature consists of ten short films about the Egyptian revolution that shook the world between January 25th and February 11th. Each short film tells the story of a particular character in a specific situation during the revolution, humorously at times and seriously or ironically at other times. The film levels its point of view on revolution to ordinary people, yet it is remarkable that it does not suggest an unrealistic and ideal vision about the result of the revolution. This work of 10 dedicated directors, 20 actors, writers and crew members have contributed to education of the public and the film’s profit will be donated for the same cause. (RHEE, Soue-won)
