Three thousand dancers, their families and teachers from around the world descended on Glasgow for one drama-filled week. Clad in wigs, make up, diamantes and dresses costing thousands of pounds, they competed for the coveted world title. Focusing on this little-known world of competitive Irish dancing, the film follows contestants through an extraordinary year of obsession and dedication for just a few minutes of glory on stage.
