Mumbai is the location of an annual festival for Ganesha, the god of wisdom and good fortune, famous for his elephant head. [Noise] takes place in Mumbai during this festival and follows the course of three men in dire circumstances. One man is an illegal publisher of bestsellers who wants to start a new, honest life, but is in a sticky predicament because of his good-for-nothing friends. Another man just returned to his native country to start a new business and is put in jeopardy because of strangers who claim they’ll protect him. The third man is a young aspiring cricketer, stuck between a rock and a hard place because of demands for a bribe and a girlfriend demanding marriage. The noise afflicting each of these men is just as loud as the sounds enveloping the city streets. Can they receive the blessings of the god of good fortune, Ganesha? This is the fourth feature co-directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK and it is an excellent portrayal of modern India, weaving together the lives of the men-cynically yet somehow affectionately.
