Program Note
Once a popular writer, Frank comes to Paris to complete the scenario which was left alone, on a proposal made by Castel Publishing Company. Staying at the finest hotel, Frank tries to write but no inspiration comes, and he rather suffers hypersensitivity. While the television announces breaking news that the Mona Lisa has been stolen from the Louvre, a mysterious foreign lady visits. This film shows the tightness that arises from incapability to write, and inspiration from love. Silence in the beginning of the film expresses the situation of being stuck writing and the mental state of the main character. The appearance of Lisa can be interpreted as a metaphor of an encounter with something that allows one to live a life that he wants. Many tourist attraction sites seen on film provide something to watch. The film was supported by Louvre.
